Santa's Secret Wish آرزوی واقعی سانتا کلاس در عید کریسمس

On Christmas Eve, a young boy with light in his eyes Looked deep into Santa's, to Santa's surprise And said as he sat on Santa's broad knee, "I want your secret. Tell it to me." He leaned up and whispered in Santa's good ear "How do you do it year after year?"
"I want to know how, as you travel about, Giving gifts here and there, you never run out. How is it Dear Santa, that in your pack of toys You have plenty for all of the world's girls and boys? Stays so full, never empties, as you make your way From rooftop to rooftop, to homes large and small, From nation to nation, reaching them all?" And Santa smiled kindly and said to the boy, "Don't ask me hard questions. Don't you want a toy?" But the child shook his head, and Santa could see That he needed the answer. "Now listen to me," He told that small boy with the light in his eyes, "My secret will make you sadder and wise.
"The truth is that my sack is magic inside It holds millions of toys for my Christmas Eve ride. But although I do visit each girl and each boy I don't always leave them a gaily wrapped toy Some homes are hungry, some homes are sad, Some homes are desperate, some homes are bad. Some homes are broken, and the children there grieve. Those homes I visit, but what should I leave? "My sleigh is filled with the happiest stuff, But for homes where despair lives toys aren't enough. So I tiptoe in, kiss each girl and boy, And I pray with them that they'll be given the joy
Of the spirit of Christmas, the spirit that lives In the heart of the dear child who gets not, but gives. "If only God hears me and answers my prayer, When I visit next year, what I will find there Are homes filled with peace, and with giving, and love And boys and girls gifted with light from above. It's a very hard task, my smart little brother, to give toys to some, and to give prayers to others. But the prayers are the best gifts, the best gifts indeed, For God has a way of meeting each need. "That's part of the answer. The rest, my dear youth, is that my sack is magic. And that is the truth.

In my sack I carry on Christmas Eve Day More love than a Santa could e'er give away. The sack never empties of love, or of joys Cause inside it are prayers, and hope. Not just toys The more that I give, the fuller it seems, Because giving is my way of fulfilling dreams. "And do you know something? You've got a sack, too. It's as magic as mine, and it's inside of you. It never gets empty, it's full from the start. It's the center of lights, and love. It's your heart And if on this Christmas you want to help me, Don't be so concerned with the gifts 'neath your tree. Open that sack called your heart and share Your joy, your friendship, your wealth, your care."
The light in the small boy's eyes was glowing. "Thanks for your secret. I've got to be going." "Wait, little boy," Said Santa, "don't go. Will you share? Will you help? Will you use what you know?" And just for a moment the small boy stood still, Touched his heart with his small hand and whispered, "I will."

Taste test 'may show depression' تشخیص افسردگی با استفاده از حس چشایی

Scientists say it may be possible to develop a taste test to diagnose depression, and determine the best drugs to treat it.
They found taste perception is altered by two brain chemicals, serotonin and noradrenaline, imbalances of which are also implicated in depression.
But they affect taste in different ways, so a taste test could potentially show which was causing illness.
The University of Bristol study appears in the Journal of Neuroscience.
However, an independent expert has cast doubt on the usefulness of the findings.
The findings also suggest somebody who is anxious or stressed will have a less sensitive sense of taste - which may explain why people with depression have a diminished appetite.

The Old Woman and the Physicianپیرزن و پزشک معالج او

An old woman who had lost the sight of her eyes went to a physician. "Cure my blindness," the old woman said,"and I will pay you well. But if you can not cure my eyes, I will pay you nothing."The physician agreed and he came to her house each week and applied some worthless salve to her eyes. But each time he quietly carried a piece of furniture away with him. This went on until he had stolen what she had in her house. Then the physician gave her a salve that cured her,and the old woman could see again. Now that she had got her sight, she saw that her house was bare, and therefore she paid him nothing. The physician took her to court. The old woman stood before the judge and said,"This man speaks the truth. I did agree to pay him well if he cured my eyes and he agreed that I pay him nothing if he could not do that. Now he says that I am cured. But, I say I am still blind, for when I lost the sight of my eyes my house was filled with furniture, but now I am not able to see any of it.The judge voted in favour of the old woman, saying, "Those who are so ready to take what is not their own must be prepared to lose what is theirs."

Mobiles 'cleared' of cancer risk آیا استفاده از موبایل بر سلامثی تاثیر می گذارد؟

Mobile phone antennas emit electromagnetic fields that can penetrate the human brain.
But a Danish team found no evidence that this was linked to an increased risk of tumours in the head or neck as had been feared.
The study, of more than 420,000 mobile phone users, appears in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
More than 56,000 had been using a mobile phone for at least 10 years.
They found no evidence to suggest users had a higher risk of tumours in the brain, eye, or salivary gland, or leukaemia.

"The large numbers of subscribers in the study mean we can have some confidence in the results that have not linked mobile phone use to a risk of any cancer, including brain tumours."

The 4 Wives! هرکسی چهار همسر دارد

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.
He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.
He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out.
Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife.

One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon.
Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing . Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word.
The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is so good over here! I'm going to remarry when you die!" The merchant's heart sank and turned cold.
He then asked the 2nd wife, "I always turned to you for help and you've always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave."The merchant was devastated.
Then a voice called out : "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, "I should have taken much better care of you while I could have !"

Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives
a. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die.
b. Our 3rd wife ? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.
c. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
d. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure.
It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. Perhaps it's a good idea to cultivate and strengthen it now.

Air guitarist's shirt makes music پیراهنی که گیتار میزند؟

If you like rocking around your bedroom playing air guitar , then scientists have just the thing to make this even more fun.
It's a shirt that picks up the crazy movements you make as you strum your pretend guitar and turns them into sounds with help from a computer.
It's done using sensors built into the t-shirt, which send signals to the computer, creating the player's tune.
The inventors say you don't have to be a musical expert to enjoy the shirt.
"It's an easy-to-use, virtual instrument that allows real-time music making," said one of the scientists, Richard Helmer.
"It allows you to jump around and the sound generated is just like an original mp3."
The shirt was invented by a team in Australia, who now hope to turn their talents to making stuff to help people exercise or recover from injuries, using the same technology.

Smart homes a reality in S Korea !!!! آ رزوی بشر امروزی: خانه های هوشمند

More than 100 homes offering smart technology have just been built in South Korea and another 30,000 are planned.

Futuristic vision
In South Korea's vision of the home of the future we will all wear mini-PCs on our wrists, which turns things on or off, opens doors, and tracks the wearer's position in the house at all times.
Here, everything is voice activated, and the fridge can provide you with recipes which use the ingredients inside, and let you know if your food is out of date.
It relies on the food packaging containing radio tags which can be read by the fridge each time it passes through the door.
In the bedroom your wardrobe mirror can tell you your schedule for the day, help you select your clothes - if all your clothes have washable radio tags compatible with the system - and keep you up to date with the weather and traffic.
When it is time to go, the house of the future will shut itself off.
The home's TV is also linked up to the system, so it can tell you when your washing machine has finished, or if someone visits you can decide whether to let them in or not; pretending you are not around has never been so easy.
From outside the apartments you can access the system remotely, and even check who has been trying to get in while you were away.
What a nice experience it will be if I can live in such houses; however, so what??!!

The farmer and his donkeys کشاورز و دو الاغش

In a village in England there was a farmer. The farmer had two donkeys. One was called Bill and the other called Ben. Bill and Ben lived in a square field. There was a fence in the middle of the field. On one side lived Bill. Ben lived on the other side.

One day the farmer decided to do a little test. Bill and Ben slept in small wooden huts near the fence. One evening the farmer waited until the two donkeys were asleep and tied a rope between Bill’s neck and Ben’s neck. The farmer then took down the fence and put a big pile of oats in Bill’s corner and in Ben’s corner. Oats are donkeys’ favourite food.
When the two donkeys woke up, they were surprised to find a rope around their necks. ‘What’s this?’ they cried.
"Mmm, oats!" they said, "we love oats!".
After walking ten metres both donkeys got a nasty surprise. The rope was too short. First Bill pulled hard and Ben slid away from his food. Then Ben pulled and Ben slid away from his food. Both were only thinking of their own pile of oats. The donkeys were getting weaker and weaker, but still they pulled and pulled.
Then Bill had an idea. "Hey Ben!" he shouted. "Why don’t you come over to my corner.’
‘What for?’ said Ben.
‘So we can eat my oats together. Then we can go to your corner and eat your oats together."
"Good idea, Bill," said Ben.
Soon both donkeys were enjoying the two piles of oats together.
The farmer smiled. 'My donkeys are the cleverest animals in England,' he said.

The Pink Dress دختری با لباس صورتی

There was a little girl sitting alone in the park.
Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad.
Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by.
I sat down beside her and opened with a simple, "Hello."
The little girl acted shocked, and said "hi. I smiled and she shyly smiled back. I asked the girl why she was so sad. The little girl looked at me with a sad face said,"Because, I'm different."
"Little girl," I said, "you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent."
She looked at me and smiled, then slowly she got to her feet and said, "Really?"
"Yes, you're like a little Guardian Angel sent to watch over all people walking by."
Then she opened the back of her pink dress and allowed her wings to spread, then she said "I am."
"I'm your Guardian Angel," with a twinkle in her eye ,she said: "For once you thought of someone other than yourself. My job here is done".
I got to my feet and said, "Wait, why did no one stop to help an angel?"
She looked at me, smiled, and said, "You're the only one that could see me," and then she was gone.

Can we see our Angles watching us? How?

A Wife's Duty وظایف پیرزن در قبال همسر بیمارش

A woman took her husband to the doctor's office. After his checkup , the doctor called the wife into his office alone. He told her, "Your husband is suffering from a very severe disease. If you don't do the following , your husband will surely die...
Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant , and make sure he is in a good mood . For lunch make him a nutritious meal. For dinner prepare an especially nice meal for him. Don't burden him with chores , as he probably had a hard day. Don't discuss your problems with him, it will only make his stress worse .
If you can do this for the next 10 months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completely."
On the way home, the husband asked his wife. "What did the doctor say?" She replied, "You're going to die"!

100 Penguins صد پنگوئن

A truck driver was driving 100 penguins to the New York Zoo when his truck broke down on the freeway. The driver got out of the cab and was looking at the engine when a second truck driver stopped in front of him and asked if he needed any help. The penguins' driver explained that he is taking the penguins to the zoo and asked if the other man would take the penguins there. He agreed. Some hours later, the second truck driver drove past the first one, who was still waiting on the freeway for help to come. The penguins, however, were still on the truck! "I thought I asked you to take those penguins to the zoo," shouted the first driver. The second replied, "I did, but I had some money left, so we're going to the cinema now."

Three gifts سه هدیه برای مادر

Three sons left home, went out on their own and became rich. Getting back together, they discussed the gifts they were able to give their old mother. The first brother, Donald, said, "I built a big house for our mother." The second brother, Robert, said, "I sent her a Mercedes with a driver." The third brother, Joseph, said, "You remember how mom enjoys reading Shakespeare. She can't see very well, so I sent her a special parrot that can say the complete works of Shakespeare. It took trainer 12 years to teach him. Mama just has to name a poem and the parrot recites it." Soon thereafter, Mom sent out her letters of thanks. "Donald," she said, "the house you built is so big. I live only in one room, but I have to clean the whole house." To her second son, she wrote, "Robert, I am too old to travel. I stay most of the time at home so I rarely use the Mercedes. And that driver is not kind! He's so much trouble!" Finally, to her third son, she wrote, "My dearest Joseph," she said, "the chicken was delicious!"

THE MONKEY AND THE DOLPHIN داستان میمون و دلفین

One day long ago, some sailors set out to sea in their sailing ship. One of them brought his pet monkey along for the long journey.
When they were far out at sea, a terrible storm overturned their ship. Everyone fell into the sea, and the monkey was sure that he would drown. Suddenly a dolphin appeared and picked him up.
They soon reached the island and the monkey came down from the dolphin's back. The dolphin asked the monkey, "Do you know this place?"
The monkey replied, "Yes, I do. In fact, the king of the island is my best friend. Do you know that I am actually a prince?"
Knowing that no one lived on the island, the dolphin said, "Well, well, so you are a prince! Now you can be a king!"
The monkey asked, "How can I be a king?"
As the dolphin started swimming away, he answered, "That is easy. As you are the only creature on this island, you will naturally be the king!"

Footprints جای پای خدا

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. he noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that at the worst times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. How could you leave me when I needed you the most?"The Lord replied " My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of suffering and when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Heaven's Grocery Store خرید از مغازه ی بقالی در بهشت

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read, "Heaven's Grocery Store".As I got a little closer the door came open wide, and when I came to myself I was standing inside. I saw a host of Angels, they were standing everywhere. One handed me a blanket and said, "My Child shop with care". Everything a Christian needs is in that grocery store, and all you can't carry, come back the next day for more.
First, I got some Patience, Love was in the same row. Further down was Understanding, needed everywhere you go. I got a box or two of Wisdom, a bag or two of Faith, I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, it was all over the place. I stopped to get some Strength and Courage to help me run this race, but then my blanket was getting full, and I remembered I needed Grace.
I didn't forget Salvation to save both you and me. Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill. Then I said to the Angel, "How much do I owe"? The Angel smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go." Again, I politely asked "How much do I really owe?" The Angel smiled again and said, "My Child, Jesus Paid Your Bill A Long Time Ago."

What's the best time of year to be born? چه تاریخ تولدی شانس و خوشبختی می آورد؟

Summer birthdays could be luckier.
If your birthday is in May, then you're a very lucky person, according to the results of a recent study.
More than 40,000 people took part, and were asked to give their date of birth and whether they felt lucky or not.
People born between March and August thought they were luckier than those born between September and February, with May proving the "luckiest" month.
Scientists think the weather might have something to do with the results, but need to do more research to prove it.
Psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman said:"The good news for winter-borns is that people can improve their luck by being more optimistic and making the most of the opportunities that come their way."

Dear Students, Don't you think that luck comes from looking on the bright side of life? Do you think the date of your birth can have any effect on your luck?

Chatty George ربات سخنگویی که می تواند با شما چت کند

'Chatty George'

Chatty George is virtually human. He's 39, single and lives in Battersea but George, above, is a chatbot - a highly sophisticated computer program that can hold an intelligent conversation, complete with gestures and facial expressions. He's a profound intellect and speaks 40 languages. He is also the most human machine in the world.George has been designed to express a range of emotions in his voice and appearance.

George is clearly an entertaining fellow. He has now conducted over 10 million online conversations, and last year won the Loebner Prize, an award presented annually to the chatbot which judges find to be the most human-like. But George is generally highly amusing. One recent user continued to chat for nearly 11 hours.
If you like to chat with him go to his chat room at: http://www.jabberwacky.com/george

What is the difference between chat with humans and human-like robots?

A little mouse داستان موش کوچک

A mouse looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package. He discovered that it was a mouse trap.
He returned to the farmyard and proclaimed the warning: "There is a mouse trap in the house, a mouse trap in the house!"

The chicken said, "Excuse me, Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you,but I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mouse trap in the house, a mouse trap in the house!" "I am so sorry Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray for you."
The mouse turned to the cow. She said, "You say, Mr. Mouse. A mouse trap? Like I am in grave danger....NOT!"

So the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected.
That very night a sound was heard . The farmer's wife rushed to find the sound. In the darkness, she did not see that it was a snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife.

The farmer took her to the hospital. She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his chicken to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.

His wife's sickness continued so that all friends and neighbors came to sit with her. To feed them, the farmer killed the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well and a few days later she died. So many people came for her funeral and the farmer killed the cow to provide meat for all of them to eat.

Mountain Story داستان کوه و انعکاس صدا

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"He receives the answer: "Who are you?"And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"The voice answers: "I admire you!"Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"He receives the answer: "Coward!"He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"The voice answers: "You are a champion!"The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.It gives you back everything you say or do.Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!"

Two frogs داستان دو قورباغه

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.
This story teaches two lessons:1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.
2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them.

God's Boxes جعبه های خدا

I have in my hands two boxes which God gave me to hold
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black, And all your joys in the gold."
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes Both my joys and sorrows I stored
But though the gold became heavier each day The black was as light as before
With curiosity, I opened the black I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole Which my sorrows had fallen out by.
I showed the hole to God, and mused aloud, "I wonder where my sorrows could be."
He smiled a gentle smile at me. "My child, they're all here with me."
I asked, "God, why give me the boxes, Why the gold, and the black with the hole?"
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings, The black is for you to let go."

A Child's Angel فرشته ی کودک

Once upon a time, there was a child ready to be born.
He asked God:
"They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I goingto live there being so small and helpless?"
God: "Among the many angels, I chose one especially for you. She willbe waiting for you and will take care of you."
Child: "But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but singand smile, and that's enough for me to be happy. Will I be happythere?"
God: "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you everyday. You will feel your angel's love and be happy."
Child: "How am I going to be able to understand when people talk tome if I don't know the language that men talk?"
God: "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words youwill ever hear. With much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
Child: "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God: "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
Child: "I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?"
God: "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her own life."
Child: "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God: "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earthcould already be heard. The child, in a hurry, asked softly:
"Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
God: "Your angel's name is of no importance. You will call your angel ... Mommy."

Water reacts to different environmental conditions, pollution and music. Mr. Emoto and colleagues decided to see how thoughts and words affected the formation of untreated, distilled, water crystals, using words typed onto paper by a word processor and taped on glass bottles overnight. The same procedure was performed using the names of deceased persons. The waters were then frozen and photographed.
These photographs show the incredible reflections of water, as alive and highly responsive to every one of our thoughts and emotions. It is quite clear that water easily takes on the vibrations and energy of its environment, whether toxic and polluted or naturally pristine, either within our selves or surrounding us in others and the environment.
Masaru Emoto's extraordinary work is an awesome display, and powerful tool, that can change our perceptions of ourselves and the world we live in, forever. We now have profound evidence that we can positively heal and transform ourselves and our planet by the thoughts we choose to think and the ways in which we put those thoughts into action.

Hijab in England School (15 October 2006)سرنوشت معلمی با حجاب و نقاب در یک مدرسه در انگلیس

The 23-year-old insists the veil is not a communication barrier

Should teachers be allowed to wear a veil?

An argument has broken out after a Muslim teaching assistant was suspended because she wouldn't remove her veil in some lessons.
Aishah Azmi, 24, works at a junior school in Dewsbury and said she was happy to take off her veil in front of children, but not other men working at the school.
Some people think she should be made to remove her veil in school at all times, but others think it should be her choice. Two important members of the government said on Sunday that she shouldn't wear a veil in lessons.
Ms Azmi said she had never received complaints from pupils, but was told her veil could not be worn in class.
She said she would remove the garment, but not in front of male colleagues.
Ms Azmi told the BBC her veil had not caused problems with the children, with whom she had a "brilliant relationship".
"The children are aware of my body language, my eye expressions, the way I'm saying things."

What do you think? Should she remove her veil???

Suicide among American teens!!?????خودکشی در میان نوجوانان آمریکایی؟؟؟افزایش یا کاهش

Suicide Rates Decline Among Adolescents and Oldest Americans

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. Now a study shows those declines coincide with the use of a new generation of antidepressants.
McKeown notes that other recent research has suggested that these same drugs can put adolescents and young adults at greater risk for suicidal behavior.
While rates are declining among the young and the old, rates of the middle age group, those between 25 and 64, have remained relatively unchanged over 20 years.
McKeown believes a variety of factors, not simply better antidepressants, is helping to lower suicide rates. "Maybe it has something to do with the new treatments. Maybe it has something to do with the economy. Another possibility is the increase of healthy life expectancy. Could it be that the things we have learned about trauma care enable us to help people who have attempted suicide who in earlier years might have died?" he asks.
McKeown calls for more research to evaluate more precisely the role of drugs and therapy, and why suicide rates are declining for one group but not for another.

Suicide among teens!!!! What's the reason? And the solution?

Living in the city of Nagpur, India, Bhagat said he'd felt self-conscious his whole life about his big belly. But one night in June 1999, an ambulance rushed the 36-year-old farmer to the hospital. Doctors thought he might have a giant tumor, but while operating on Bhagat, Mehta saw something he had never encountered.
"To my surprise and horror, I could shake hands with somebody inside," he said. "It was a bit shocking for me." "He just put his hand inside and he said there are a lot of bones inside," she said. "First, one limb came out, then another limb came out, then some part of hair, some limbs, jaws, limbs, hair."
Inside Bhagat's stomach was a strange, half-formed creature that had feet and hands that were very developed. Its fingernails were quite long.
"We were horrified. We were confused and amazed," Mehta said.
At first glance, it may look as if Bhagat had given birth. Actually, Mehta had removed the mutated body of Bhagat's twin brother from his stomach. Bhagat, doctors discovered, had one of the world's most bizarre medical conditions — fetus in fetu. It is an extremely rare abnormality that occurs when a fetus gets trapped inside its twin. What makes his case so unusual is that no one suspected Bhagat had a twin inside him for 36 years. To Bhagat his condition had been a source of shame and misery. All his life, people in the village where he lived had mercilessly teased him and told him he looked pregnant. Ironically, they were right in a way.
Today Bhagat is in good health and leads a normal life, but he still gets teased occasionally by his friends.

Electronic noses بینی الکترونیکی

Compared with dogs, people aren't very good at identifying smells. So, chemists are designing sensors—electronic noses—that help people do this job better.
Electronic noses can go where human noses shouldn't. For example, some electronic noses can sense substances that would be harmful to humans. Other electronic noses can sense chemicals that people can't detect at all. One such device looks a bit like a computer chip covered with neat rows of dots. Each dot contains a chemical dye. "We use anywhere from 20 to 36 different dyes that change color depending on what chemical they're exposed to," says Ken Suslick. He's a chemist at the University of Illinois.
Electronic noses can also alert people to hazards. On the space shuttle or in the International Space Station, for example, a chemical leak could mean a problem with the spacecraft or danger for the crew. Detecting such leaks promptly is essential.
But even this sensitive space sensor can't compete with a dog's amazing ability to detect and identify smells. Electronic noses still have a long way to go to top a dog's sniffer.

Ready to travel to space??? آماده باش برای سفر به فضا

New spaceship for ordinary people امکان سفر به فضا برای افراد عادی

A hi-tech model of a spaceship which will let ordinary people go on out-of-this-world trips has been put on show for the first time.
British billionaire Sir Richard Branson wants to make the dream of space travel come true for millions of people.
The tiny spacecraft is designed to carry six passengers and two pilots some 120kms (75 miles) above the Earth.
The first flight is set to blast off in 2009 and tickets for SpaceShipTwo will cost about £100,000 - so start saving!

The spaceship's technology could also be used in airplanes and could eventually allow people to travel between London and Sydney in half an hour, said Sir Richard.
Would-be passengers will undergo three days of training before putting on spacesuits for the zero-gravity voyage.
The craft's white trendy clutter-free inside has seats that tip back to allow for a less jolting return into Earth's atmosphere and several round windows positioned from floor to ceiling.

Tens of thousands of people have already said they want to go on the trip - and 200 people have put down a deposit on tickets.
There are also plans for a TV reality show based in space and a lottery with winners getting flights.
Sir Richard said: "We hope millions of people will travel into space."

Pleasant moments in space: Anousheh's diary خاطرات انوشه از فضا و چگونگی زندگی در بی وزنی

Space Travel Details Space Explorer — Anousheh @ 2:13 am
that everyone wants to know: How do you take a shower in space? How do you brush your teeth? How do you wash your hair?Well my friends, I must admit keeping good hygiene in space is not easy! There is no shower or faucet with running water. Water does not “flow” here, it “floats” — which makes it a challenging act to clean yourself. So what do people do up here, specially the ones staying for six months at a time…? They improvise! There are wet towels, wet wipes and dry towels that are used for cleaning yourself. Usually each person gets a wet towel a day and couple of dry ones. Each person has a personal hygiene kit where they keep their stuff like toothbrush, shaving kit, creams , etc. I got Dice-K’s kit so it had a razor and lots of shaving cream, but no makeup Now brushing your teeth in space is another joy. You cannot rinse your mouth and spit after brushing, so you end up rinsing and swallowing. Astronauts call it the fresh mint effect The most interesting experience — or I should call it experiment — is washing your hair. Now I know why people keep their hair short in space. You basically take a water bag and slowly make a huge water bubble over your head and then Very Very Gently, using a dry shampoo, you wash your hair. At the slightest sudden movement, little water bubbles start floating everywhere. I’ve made some video of my hair-washing experience that I will share when I return Of course water here is a valuable resource, and is recycled so anything wet is not thrown out, instead it is left out to air dry. There is a water conduction collection unit that takes the moisture out of the air and recycles and purifies it. This includes your sweaty clothes after exercising. One of the cosmonauts once told me, “We are all very close to each other, we are like brothers and sisters, it is very unique because we drink each others’ sweat.” Now I know well what he means…There is exercise equipment here, a treadmill and a bike with the best view of the world in the Russian segment, and some resistance training equipment and another bike in the American segment. Astronauts and cosmonauts train every day, sometimes twice a day, to make sure they reduce the effects of weightlessness on their muscles and bones. Just in case you didn’t know, when people are in weightlessness for an extended period of time, their muscles start weakening and shrinking because they are not used as much. There is no gravity to work against, so everything is effortless. You also start losing calcium in your bones so you have a bone density loss. They always say you cannot have your cake and eat it too… So I guess all the beauty and excitement of space comes with a price. Of course I’m sure one of you guys out there will become a biologist or a doctor who will figure out how to counteract all these effects so we can travel long distances to Mars and other solar system planets and moons and continue our quest beyond our solar system…

Spinach is highly nutritious اسفناج بسیار مقوی است

Spinach, noted for making cartoon sailor Popeye strong, may also help to ward off a common cause of blindness.
A team at the University of Manchester believe eating the vegetable protect the eyes.
Their theory is based on the fact that spinach, and several other vegetables, contain lutein, a chemical which helps form a key protective eye pigment. Lutein is found in sweetcorn, kale and broccoli, as well as spinach.
The Manchester team plan a study to test their theory.
Scientists do not yet understand why some people are susceptible, but do know that the disease is linked to smoking, obesity and poor diet.

What are the effect of veggies on your health?

One more step towards space exploration!قدمی دیگر برای کشف فضا و اسرار خورشید

Mission to uncover secrets of Sun

A space mission is blasting off to find out the secrets of the Sun.
The Solar-B satellite will take off from a space centre in Japan on a three-year mission on Friday. There won't be any people on board.
It will spend nine months of each of these years in sunlight. It has three powerful telescopes on it and aims to solve some of the Sun's mysteries.
These include finding out more about huge eruptions - called solar flares - that take place on the Sun's surface.
These can interfere with man-made satellites and threaten the safety of astronauts.
It's hoped the mission's findings could help space exploration in the future.
Space agencies from Japan, America and Europe are involved with the project, which has cost many millions of pounds.

Interview with God مصاحبه با خدا

THE INTERVIEW WITH GOD

I dreamed I had an interview with God.
“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.
“If you have the time” I said.
God smiled. “My time is eternity." “What questions do you have in mind for me?”
“What surprises you most about humankind?”
God answered...
“That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.”
“That they lose their health to make money... and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.”
"That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived.”
God’s hand took mine and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked...
“As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn
“To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.”
“To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.”
“To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.”
“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”
"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.
"Is there anything else you would like your children to know?"
God smiled and said, “Just know that I am here... always.”

An email from God !ایمیل از طرف خدا

One day God was looking down at Earth and saw all of the evil that was going on. He decided to send an angel down to Earth to check it out.
So he called on a female angel and sent her to Earth for a time. When she returned she told God, yes it is bad on Earth, 95% is bad and 5% is good.
Well, he thought for a moment and said maybe I had better send down a male angel; to get both points of view. So God called a male angel and sent him to Earth for a time. When the male angel returned he went to God and told him yes, the Earth was in decline, 95% was bad and 5% was good.
God said this was not good. He decided to E-Mail the 5% that were good and encourage them, a little something to help them keep going.

Do you know what that E-Mail said?
Reply God's email.

Is mobile a queer tool?آیا موبایل وسیله عجیبی است؟

Half of 10-year-olds own a mobile
مزایا و معایب موبایل
It looks like you're a chatty bunch, as more than half of all 10-year-olds own their own mobile phone.
And by the time you get to 12, about nine out of 10 kids have their hands on a high-tech handset.
A study of more than 1,250 kids found most use their moby for texting more than talking, with most of you sending nearly 10 texts every day.
And they're more than just a gadget for talking to your mates, as 80% of kids said a mobile made them feel safer.
But a mobile doesn't just offer you freedom - 71% of parents seem happy to use them to keep an eye on you.

Mobile worries

And mobile phones also cause worries - some health experts reckon they might make you ill. That's because they send out waves of something called radiation.
Although there's no definite proof mobiles are dangerous, kids would be most at risk, because their skulls aren't fully grown yet.
The official advice is, that they should really only be using their phones to call people in an emergency.

Strange record holders!!!! رکورد عجیب

Eye-popping record holder شکننده رکورد بیرون آوردن چشم

Now this really is one record we don't think you would want to try for - this chap can pop his eyes out of his head!
Claudio Paulo Pinto can make his eyeballs stick out by seven millimetres, which is apparently a record in his home country of Brazil.
He's been doing the trick since he was nine, and has used his skill to work in a haunted house, scaring visitors.
But Claudio's got a way to go if he wants to get the world record of 11mm, held by Kim Goodman of Chicago.
Gross!
He reckons he's improving his eye-popping level all the time, so he might make this gross title his own.
In case you were wondering, and you probably were, Claudio says it doesn't hurt a bit.
But we really don't recommend trying this yourself.

First Female Space Tourist on Her Way to Space Station اولین توریست زن به فضا می رود

Boldly going where no female space tourist has gone before

Anousheh Ansari, a 41-year-old Iranian-American has become the first ever woman space tourist. She is also the first female Muslim and the first Iranian in orbit. Aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft, she will travel to the International Space Station along with an American and a Russian astronaut. The self-confessed Star Trek fan reportedly paid around 23 million euros for her ten day trip.Ansari emigrated to the US from her native Iran aged 16. After graduating in electrical engineering, she set up a telecommunications company with her husband, which they then sold for hundreds of millions of dollars. Beaming up into space is, she says, the fulfilment of a childhood dream.

"I'm happy that not only my flight but the life I've lived, so far, becomes an inspiration for our youth - especially to girls and women around the world," she said. "Looking at my background they can see that sometimes the impossible can be possible, and dreams can come true."

Living with your dreams! زندگی با رویاها و آرزوهایتان

She Dreamed of the Stars; Now She’ll Almost Touch Them

From a balcony in Mashhad, a city between two mountain ranges in northeastern Iran, a young girl looked up at the stars — far away yet close enough to kindle a dream.
“I’d lie there looking and wondering,” she said many years later. “I was so young but so fascinated with space; it’s always been in my heart.”
“I was born in Iran and lived there until the age of 16 and then moved to the United States,” she said, according to wire service reports. “So I have a lot of roots in Iran and feel very close to the Iranian people and the culture of the country.”
“I want to reach women and girls in remote parts of the world where women are not encouraged to go into science and technology jobs,” she said, “They should believe in what they want and pursue it.”
A guiding principle of her life, she said, is a quotation from Mahatma Gandhi: “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
“This is what I am trying to do,” Mrs. Ansari said.
“I have the coordinates of certain pictures I like taken from space, and I want to see those places in person,” she said. “And I want to see the place where I grew up in Iran, where I first looked up at the stars.”

Texting Pains دردهای ناشی از تایپ و بازیهای کامپیوتری

Too much texting 'can cause pain'

Kids are being warned to limit the amount of time they spend texting and playing computer games because it could lead to aches and pains in the future.
Doctors say more and more children are coming to them complaining of tingling and numbness in their hands and wrists.
The condition is known as repetitive strain injury (RSI). It's brought on if your muscles are put under strain by doing the same movements.
Experts say they want kids to be aware of the condition and to take care.
Dangers
One doctor told Newsround: "We need to deal with it, or it will get worse."
The doctor said more needs to be done to teach kids about the dangers of texting and playing computer games too often.

Buy a New Pair of Shoes? کفشی که تعیین می کند چقدر باید تلویزیون تماشا کرد

Would you exercise to earn TV time?

A new shoe has been invented that controls how much TV you watch.
It records the amount of exercise you do by counting the number of steps you've taken, and then converts them into the amount of television you can watch.
The gadget - called Square-eyes - is placed inside a shoe and records the amount of steps the wearer has taken during a single day.
The information is sent to a device connected to the TV, which calculates how long the child can switch on for.
The TV switches itself off as soon as the time earned runs out. The gadget was made by university students.
"Square-eyes will help children to include exercise in their daily routine from an early age," said one of the designers from west London's Brunel University.
Do you think this is a good way of getting kids to exercise? Would you get active for extra TV time?
Maybe you think it's a bit extreme and kids should be allowed to watch TV as much or as little as they want?
Whatever you think, let us know.

TV Effects تاثیرات تماشای تلویزیون

TV violence 'encourages bullies'

Violent scenes on children's TV are leading to some kids getting bullied, according to a top Government official.
Education Minister Charles Clarke has called for programme-makers to be more responsible when filming kids' shows.
"Violence on television encourages people to grow up thinking violence is an acceptable way of operating," Mr Clarke told The Observer newspaper.
He also had a go at some children's shows for doing little to educate kids about the world and how to behave

Does TV influence what you eat?

Kids are picking up bad eating habits from watching TV, according to a survey.
Parents have complained that watching things like Homer Simpson's love of doughnuts is encouraging you to adopt an unhealthy lifestyle.
Does what you watch on TV influence what you eat?
When you see people eating chips and chocolate, does it make you want to eat it too?
Maybe watching shows like Jamie's School Dinners has encouraged you to eat more healthily?
Or maybe cookery shows make you try different foods?

Whay do you say?

A Message from a Space Tourist! پیامی از یک توریست فضایی

Space tourist's message to kids

A self-made man who has fulfilled his dream of blasting off into space has sent a message to young people, saying: "If I can do it, so can you!"
US businessman Greg Olsen reportedly paid £11m for his 10-day trip to the International Space Station.

"Hard work and determination has led me to where I am today and I encourage today's youth to dream big," he said.

While in space, Greg will share his experiences with 30 US high school students using a radio signal.

He completed 900 hours of training before lifting off in a Russian rocket from Kazakhstan on Saturday.

He becomes the third person to pay for a trip into space.

"Nowadays, everybody can fly every week. The same will be true with spaceflight - there will be more tourists after me," said Greg.

Technology in 2020 تکنولوژی تا سال 2020 چگونه خواهد بود

What do you think technology will be like by 2020?

A new survey reckons kids believe the future will be transformed by technology.
Many of you imagine jet packs and hoverboards will be used as transport, while robots could replace teachers in the classroom.
You also believe classes could include lessons in robot building, alien languages and celebrities.
So what do YOU think technology will be like by 2020?
Will robots take care of your homework?
Or will you get to school in mini-airplanes? What about making Sunday dinner at the touch of button?

HAVE YOUR OWN SAY.

Humanoid Robot رباتی شبیه انسان

Robots given skin that can 'feel'

Scientists are closer to making more lifelike robots after coming up with "skin" that is just like a person's.
The skin allows the robot to detect both pressure and temperature, which means it would know when something was touching it, or when it was warm.
The skin is thin enough to wrap around robot fingers, and is cheap enough to make lots of, say the scientists.
And there's a chance the new skin could be made even better than ours, as it may be able to detect other stuff too.
As well as temperature and pressure, the skin may be able to help a robot know if it is light or dark, or even if it is noisy.

An Iranian Space Tourist توریست فضایی ایرانی

Female space tourist to take off

The first female space tourist is set to blast off into orbit in September, after paying millions for her ticket.
Anousheh Ansari will be part of a Russian crew using a Soyuz rocket to get into space, and will spend 10 days at the International Space Station.
Ansari said she hopes her trip will inspire young people worldwide, "especially women and girls".
At the station she is going to make films she hopes will be used in schools to boost science and technology.
Ansari moved from Iran to the US when she was 16. She will wear an Iranian flag and a US flag on her space suit.

Are you the second space tourist?????!!!!

No Birthday Cake! !کیک تولد در جشن تولد ممنوع

Birthday cakes ban in US schools

American kids are being banned from taking birthday cakes into school to celebrate with their classmates - because it's too unhealthy.
A growing number of schools in the country are scrapping the celebrations, which has been a part of American life for many years.
It's thought that one in six school children in the nation is overweight.
The cake ban follows a country-wide campaign to stop kids snacking on food which isn't good for them.

Some schools are even being offered money if they stop selling pupils food which is high in fat and sugar.
People against the cake ban say it means kids are missing out on an important part of childhood.

The Smallest Teen کوتاهترین نوجوان در جهان

The world's smallest teenager?

A teenager is waiting to find out if he's the smallest man in the world.
Fourteen-year-old Khagendra Thapa Magar is only 50cm high, and weighs just 4.5kg, which could be record-breaking.
He's apparently the smallest person in his home country of Nepal, and he's written to Guinness World Records to see if he can claim the world title.
A Guinness spokeswoman said they would decide after looking at all the medical evidence, and were considering flying him to England to be measured.
The current record holder for world's smallest living man is 65cm high Younis Edwan, who lives in Jordan.

'Very tiny'
"He was very tiny when he was born," said Khagendra's mother Dhana Maya Thapa Magar. "It was not possible to bathe him or clean him up because of his size. We had to hold him on our palm," she said.
Khagendra and his family are currently touring Nepal looking for funds to help support him.

8 planets in our solar system! 8 سیاره های منظومه شمسی

Experts say Pluto is NOT a planet

Loads of school textbooks are going to have to be rewritten after it was decided Pluto is NOT a planet anymore.
Pluto has been called a planet since it was discovered in 1930, but now a meeting of important astronomers has decided it isn't.
Until Thursday it was the smallest of nine planets in the solar system. Now there are only eight left.
The decision was made by about 3,000 space experts in the Czech Republic, who have re-named Pluto a dwarf planet.
At the meeting the experts agreed for the first time a set of rules that will decide what is and what isn't a planet.
Pluto will now be known as a dwarf planet, as will two other space objects that were being discussed at the meeting, Ceres and Xena.
The decision to take away Pluto's status hasn't been made because it is much smaller than the remaining eight planets.
Instead, the rule that it broke is about its orbit, which crosses the orbit of its neighbouring planet Neptune.

Obesity چاقی و ضررهای آن

One million kids 'obese by 2010'

One in five children living in England could be dangerously overweight by the year 2010, according to a report.
It found a million kids aged between two and 15, along with 12 million adults, could be obese by then unless they are given help to get fit.
People who are seriously overweight are at risk of developing poor health such as problems with their heart.
The report also found that kids with two obese parents are five times more likely to be dangerously overweight.
The results were announced a day after politician Caroline Flint was given the job as 'minister for fitness'.
She will have to come up with ideas for how to get people more active and more into doing sport.
Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt has said that parents should seriously think about how they can help make their children's lifestyles healthier.

Too sweet swimشنای شیرین در خمره کاکائو در

US man gets trapped in chocolate

It may seem like heaven to some people, but for a US man, being trapped in a vat of chocolate wasn't so sweet.
No-one is quite sure how the 21-year-old man ended up in the giant container at a chocolate factory, but it took two hours to get him out.
Some reports suggest the man fell into the vat while others say he climbed in to sort out a problem.
Rescuers had to mix cocoa butter into the chocolate to make it thin enough to pull the man out of.

The unlucky man had to go to hospital after the incident, but he's okay now.
The local police chief in Wisconsin said the chocolate was "pretty thick" and admitted he'd never heard of anything quite like it.

The proposed new planetsسیارات منظومه شمسی زیاد می شوند؟

Number of planets set to rocket
It looks like school books will have to be re-written as space experts are set to overhaul our Solar System!
The number of planets around the Sun could rise from nine to 12 - and that number may even rocket!
Experts are re-thinking what should be called a planet because of the discovery of space objects bigger than our smallest planet Pluto.
In a new proposal, these objects would become planets, but they would be called plutons.
Plutons would include Pluto, its moon Charon, a new object UB313, which is nicknamed Xena, and the largest asteroid Ceres.
About 3,000 astronomers are meeting in the Czech Republic and the final decision will be made on 24 August.
The new plan would see eight ordinary 'classical' planets - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune - and four plutons - Pluto, Charon, Xena and Ceres.
Plutons would differ from ordinary planets in that they have orbits round the Sun that take longer than 200 years to complete and their orbits are not circular.

New category
Top space expert Professor Owen Gingerich said: "In a sense we're demoting Pluto by taking it off the list of classical planets.
"But we're promoting it by making it the prototype - the first of its kind - of this new category of plutons."
