A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.
"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."
"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."
"There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."
"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."
"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."
"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."
At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

if every body loves the others not cause of them but just because of love, our world would be great. people usually calculate to see if helping others is useful or no and if they dont find any usage for them selves they dont pay to help the others. but we should always remember that atlast we will need help one day, so at least for our selves lets help those who need it.

When that soldier speak about his friend to the parents he should say to them if I was in my friend shoes , what are you doing? certainly his parents say we accept you with a lot sincerity.

A handicap human is still a human! Maybe somebody lose some parts of his body in an accident or in a war, We all know that he is the same person with same beliefs, thoughts and temptations!

sometime we think bad happens are for other people but when they happen for ourselves we notice that we are other people so be careful in your life and let others live.
we think the boy is very kind because he dosent want put his family into trouble.

i was sorry when read this storry it is very painful when this parents refuse this son who fighting with enemy for them and he loss leg and arm for freedom them.

I think he should say to his parents what he means. Because for his parents were difficult to care of the infirm but if they know that their son was infirm I believe that they care of him kindly.

when we claim that we love somebody really, thats the time when we love him just for him.
if somebody has defeciency we shouldnot leave him alone because he has the right to live.
